Psalm 46:10 (KJV) Be still, and know that I am God
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I normally have my quiet time with God either in my car during my long commute to and from work or while sitting at my desk. I enjoy spending time with the Lord and I am consistently asking for guidance when it comes to my marriage, the kids, finances and work. I am also asking the Lord to make my ear more kin to what he is saying to me. This is an area in my walk with Christ that I really have to focus on. Often times we pray and right afterwards we're back to where we started. Are you trying to figure the situation out for yourself? Let's be real we can't fix anything without God. We are human and we like being in control of or at least in the know of what’s transpiring in our lives.
Psalms 46:10 tells us to be still and know that he is God. This means as a true Christian serving God and confessing salvation that God has everything under control. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let my request be known to the father. This means that we need to just pray about these things and allow the father to do his job. We need to take our hands out of the mix because we just messing things up. God has already planned our lives out and he already knows what’s best for you.
